This week I have chosen an invite from last year. I like that there are only two colours used and to me that keeps it simple. The scripted font, makes it more on the traditional side, so you get the both of both worlds.

The cream paper is one from Crane’s letterpress range an envelopments. It prints like a dream and works really well with the textured grey pocket.

The customer wanted to make the invite substantial so we layerd it inside. This gave it a richer feel. We used no ribbon or embelishments and let the paper do the talking.

In this case I believe that less is more. It’s fabulous and i love it!

 Lynda has chosen her favorite invitation this week. It’s no surprise that it’s this one as it is for a destination wedding in Maui, coincidently this is also Lynda’s favorite place!

 The design is a 5.5×5.5 square with 3 layers, Kumquat, Snow cone and tree free ivory letterpress cardstock. We love the use of the twine to make it look like a bundle and the small tag with the website info on it. Using the 2 colours in the paper and carrying that theme in on the design makes it look clean and very beachy. The rsvp card also follows the theme with the blue stripes around the outside and the frame in the middle.

This is a perfect destination wedding invite and will look great in any colour. The website is a great add on as it will include all that need to know information for your guests without additional sheets of paper. ]
